Sounds great! I was really concerned it would be too loud or ricey but I'm really pleased...real quality product and the install was painless. I was amazed to see how restrictive the stock exhaust really is. Not only is it a smaller diameter but in several locations it's slightly cripmed for clearance which makes it even smaller.

did you adjust your tips so it looks flush?

most AWE'rs have em sticking out a bit too far.

any plans for a TP or Carbonio?

I'll have to take some pics and post them. I've seen many installed with the tips pertuding too far. They look as though they were a after thought. I adjusted mine in to the stock position. Although it hides the "AWE" engraving I like this look better. I want to keep it legal and I don't like too much noise so I'm not going with a TP. I have a Lebree downpipe and HFC (OBD II compliant) but that install looks much more intimidating. I need to do some research before deciding how to procede. I'd like to do an intake but I'm not crazy about the Carbonio, maybe just end up doing a K&N.

I live 15 minutes from AWE so I bought it there for $899.

Next will be coilovers.

Yeah...heavy and restrictive.

Yeah...heavy and restrictive.

"Restrictive" means nothing, when having an exhaust that is not as "restrictive" doesn't do much for any power gains.
It's more for sound, but depending on the mufflers you choose, the drone can be very obnoxious.

The stock exhaust is actually pretty nice.

Actually restrictive means alot especially when other mods are done. For instance The GIAC "X" chip makes more power than the "S" chip but requires exhaust to flow better. Also, other mods (intake, BT) will defintely need a better flowing exhaust. On a completely stock setup I agree the exhaust is more noise than anything else.

I agree. But, that only stands to reason on how engines work.
Any time you really modify an engine the whole will be greater due to the sum of the parts.
You have to get into some serious air movement through the engine to gain benefits over a decently made stock exhaust.

But, that's not really the question.
If the stock system is very "restrictive", as claimed, then a "better" exhaust should give a decent power increase.
In this car you don't. The stock setup is thus pretty nice and flows well even with the simple chip/ECU and intake mods.

Maybe I should have elaborated on what I meant by "restrictive". The stock pipe diameted is fairly small to begin with. In one section the pipes are crimped for clearance purposes which reduces volume further. Also where the two pipes come together and are welded has a fairly small cross section as well.

Is there any droning with the awe exhaust. How is the interior noise with it.

There is some drone especially at low RPM's. It wasn't that noticeable until I rolled the windows up. Driving around at 30-40 mph is where I noticed it most. It fades at higher speeds.

I see you're in Philly. I'm in Bucks Co. Shoot me a PM if you want to hear it in person.

DP is for manual trans only. They don't offer one for the TIP.
