View Full Version : What springs or suspension set up do you guys have?

Right now i have a set of H&R coilover and Bilstein shocks & eibach race springs.

The H&R is too soft for my liking, also is H&R free lifetime warranty?

The eibach springs are way too aggressive, but i would like to keep the bilstein shocks. So what should i do? Any springs out there have a more aggressive spring rates, but on the other hand, not 900 lbs/in stiff. Maybe something like 600-700 lbs/in?

I'm trying to find springs that are in between of the H&R coilover and the eibach race springs (900lbs/in). And I have neuspeed adjustable rear sway already.

Moreover, what current suspension set up do you have, and how do u like it? would u recommend it? Are you mainly for street or track or both? and do u have a sway bar or stabilizer bar?

Koni shocks(fronts were regrooved 1" lower) to use Intrax S4 springs. It is fine for the street but I need something with stiffer compression and same rebound for drag racing.

You might want to talk with mike at Purems and see what type of spring rates he can get.

If you search you will find that this exact thread has already been done and there was a lot of response so no need to do it again.

INOX KW v1's

Not a single bad thing to say about them. KW's will be on my next car no questions asked.

Beilstein sport and vortrag sport springs 450f / 500r
If the roads are good then the ride is great but for terrible roads then it can get brutal...

lots of good information...Im going to research more on the vortrag and intrax. And wonder what KW uses as springs?

what are H&R Race spring rates?

And wonder what KW uses as springs?

KW/bilstein springs.

Neuspeed use h&r, ect.

I'm confused by OP, Bilstein + eibach = h&r coilovers?

If you want stiff you will have to pay.
KW's come fairly stiff, as do PSS9's
If you want stiff I would look into intrax...

Edit: I understand the 2 setups now after reading your sig. If h&r is to soft, your car is to high.

Just get HR springs for an S4 and use with your bilsteins, fits fine and has a higher spring rate than the a4 springs

But the thing is, i'm coming from a 900lb/in springs. THat's why i want to get something in the 600-700 range.

Excellent information here, i will get a set of springs soon. I will need the springs to run on track (not drag racing) too. My eibach race springs are excellent on the track, but for daily driving, is just way too much~

go with softer springs and a good set of bars. with h-sport bars and stock sport suspension my car s only a little slower at the track than with kw v1 coilovers. I thick half the difference is in braking. cornering is very similar. street driving is worlds better.

Go with either STaSIS Street Sport's or PSS9's. Personally, if I had the money, I'd go for PSS9's but I don't so I'm going to get Bilstein sport shocks with H&R Race springs.

I hear good things about Vogtland springs[up] May be worth a look.

I have Stasis Tracksports with 500 F/650 R springs. My car handles pretty well with this combo with no understeer. I like this combo as it is not bone jarring but still has good handling and fronts and rears have adjustable rebound without taking them off of the car. I recently helped a friend install Vogtland coilovers from Startup Racing and I was very impressed with them. They have 575 F/650 R springs and are height adjustable only. The springs are progressive so they have a very nice ride but they still have great handling. If I was in the market, I would look at these very seriously. The springs fit the stock mounts so they may work with your shocks unlike the Stasis Tracksports. With the Tracksports, however you can change spring rates as they have many different rates available front and rear.

I do four wheel slides around turn 2 at Gingerman in third gear with stock suspension and H-Sport bars or with the coilovers and bars. The suspension doesn't do nearly as much on a street car as the bars. They act as a supplemental spring rate in the corners.

Right now, i have both Neuspeed rear sway in 19mm and 21mm, don't know which one i'm going to put in~
