any performance shop really.....just search on google...."header wrap"

its made of fiberglass cloth and other stuff...wrap the pipe....and you use screw clamps at the beginning and end....

Yes, heat wrap will cover it up. Unless you have a MIG/TIG welder and the skill to un-weld the "OFF ROAD USE" plate off. But the heat-wrap idea is a good one, probably would I would do in this circumstance.

Do you, actually, think that removing the "OFF ROAD USE ONLY " text is going to fool anyone that looks into thinking that your Federally mandated catlytic converter was not replaced with a hollow tube?

I say weld it ive welded stuff off a pipe like that its a really simple job actually, heat wrap is just to obvious if your going to heat wrap you might as well leave it as it is now.

how is header wrap make anything obvious?!?!.....header wrap has a function.....it actually helps exhaust gasses flow faster by trapping the heat in the pipe...its simple thermodynamics.....

only a service tech would notice still that its a test pipe....for the simple fact the test pipe has a smaller diameter then the catalyst....anyone else looking at the car wouldn't think twice about it....unless they knew what they were looking for
