How is that faking??

What's the difference between putting on a S4 grill or an RS4 grill?

i think he is reffering to the badge on the grille, not the grille itself.

HA...

The last thing im trying to do is pose. Im trying to make my car look nice, its adds a nice touch with the badge (from a distance) on the grill, but I will see what else I can do with it. Ive only had it on for a couple weeks, so im not even sure how IIII feel about it yet, which is the only thing that matters.

For all who have inquired about the paint I used:

At first I ordered paint from paintscratch.com with our color code LY7M. When the paint came I tested it on a white card and it looked fine. After puting on my coats of adhesion promoter and primer, then sanding it down, I started to apply color. At first it looked fine and then it started turning blue (I made a thread over the weekend about my problem with that). The next day I looked at the color and it looked HORRIBLE. I figured I had nothing to loose by calling my buddy IKE20VA4 and asking what "duplicolor" he used on his 2001 a4. I went and bought one can of Radiant Silver and tried it out. The color ended up matching very well. Now im in the process of trying to get my money back from Paintscratch.....those bastards.

There is a big difference between posing and just installing an add-on to your car. He got an S4 grill so it has an S4 symbol. now if he has S4 badges on the rear then we can take him out back and beat him.

Now if I can find a matching duplicolor Hibiscus for mine

Why do you guys care so much? It's his car let him do what he wants to it, no one makes you chose your mods or what your car looks like

I've been though this alot with V6 mustang owners who put on cobra badges, it's not worth it, because it isn't my car to care about

there's a difference between pre and post facelift silver colors. maybe they matched the old one for you, because duplicolor's radiant silver is supposed to match up to facelift silver i believe. other than that, great job man. that gives me a great idea of what mine would look like, but i'm still debating whether i should do it or not. right now i've just got the fronts and backs painted but they're chipping because i did it half assed.

also, i can see that you missed covering up those two little gaps in the front bumper ;)

you are correct. The radiant silver is the post facelift color that matches "perfectly".

However, my car had been WRECKED before I bought it, so the color is also a tiny bit different than its supposed to be. Matching colors perfectly is nearly impossible. Either way, the radiant silver matched as close as anything. It couldnt really look much closer IMO. Id say try the duplicolor, my car is a decent example that the color matches closely. As for the gaps I missed, I was just too lazy to mask those two off. eh
