My passenger stock fog does not fit - should I cut it up and make it fit or run without fogs and sell it. I have HID so the fogs don't do jack for me. But what should I use to fill up the missing fog?

On a scale of how big of one to ten it was one big o bitch. Took from 3pm to 9pm. 6 Hours and most of it did not fit well behind stock bumper - i don't know who has been spreading rumors.

I have a 99.5 and using the stock bumper.

Highly recommend using a S4 bumper - but I want my car to look as stock as possible so I am an idiot.

1.) the passenger stock fog do not fit unless you cut off pieces of the fog housing itself. There is this big ass plastic screw (for adjustment) - and I think if you cut it off it will fit.

2.) Bumper barely fits back to where it is suppose to. I fitted one of the original long bolts back in but the other one - i just used a shorter one (f that shit)

3.) All side grills have to be massively trim and hacked off.

4.)I love strippers

Overall impressions - i don't really know I am too tired to tell.
The only thing I know for sure is that you could not pay me enough money to try this again.

PSI - dropped about 2psi - I use to hit 17 now only 15 psi.

Vac still around 21.

I would say adding a FMIC made installing a K04 like changing oil.

Only thing now left is installing the GTRS.

yupp its a real time consuming job and it takes out all your energy as you keep trying to make every little damn thing fit somewhat right...i did mine custom and it took a pretty long time to finish...abut a full 2 days time

Must be a different design now because I had one way back in the day(2001) and it did not look like that at all or fit like that. I did not have to cut the bumper and both fog lights were still in the car.

Here are a few links to some pics(sorry but they are on my old AW account) of my car back when it had a evo fmic.

Your car gave me an idea - but i don't know if i should do it since aftermarket FMIC are consider illegal in most states like CA. Last thing i need is a cop sending me to the referee. Mostly the reason I want to make the car look bone stock.

another reason why i went with a dsmic setup :) $90 total for parts, and it seems to be handling the PC16 fine in our current 90 degree weather. no vag logs yet though.

Anyone know where I can pick up some RS4 grille making fence - I was thinking of using a plastic fence, because from most of the ones I have seen they too thin

Also it would have been a super smart idea for Audi to do would have made the frame which acted as a pipe for the stock intercooler to put radiator fins inside that tubular frame. It would have been awesome.

How do you get a FMIC is illegal in CA? If that was true they wouldn't allow dealers to sell any stock turbo cars that come with a FMIC.

It is illegal to have a cone filter setup unless it is carb certified.

UCFQuattroguy - they are on AW which doesn't allow cross posting of their gallery, just copy it and put it in a new window.
