View Full Version : Hard time starting (cold starts)

Whenever I try to start my car when it's been sitting for more than about 4 hrs, it has a really hard time starting. It will crank and crank, it might fire for a second and then just die. But, if I crank it for a second, stop, then crank again, it starts right up and runs perfectly. This isn't a big deal it's just really bothering me, every time I try to start I look retarded and like my car is a POS. Any input would be appreciated.

fuel pressure...

if you turn the key to the auxiliary position for a second (this builds fuel pressure) then turn it off then try to start it I bet it will start...

Hmmm... when is the pump supposed to prime? Some say it does when you open the door but I never hear mine do it. I'm running a Walbro 255lph if that matters at all.

the fuel pump primes when you turn the key to the aux position...

I just had this problem and fixed it with a different fuel pressure
