Hey, I just recently purchased a 2001 A4 1.8T and am looking at types of intakes. Any brands or designs i should look at specifically? My car is chipped and exhaust is coming soon. Just looking ahead for now but i have no idea what kind of intake is best for my car. Any thoughts?

1. Search

2. Are you looking for Performance or sound? If Performance, the stock airbox is your best bet up to 300 awhp

3. If sound, a cone filter and a really good heat shield are the best option, although supposedly you lose a few [1-3] hp.

Looking mostly for performance. I am told that there are some good aftermarket intakes that will boost performance more than the stock intake. Besides lol, I want something other than stock haha.

1) search.
2) spend your money on something else.

With the 1.8T the Airbox is the best option you have until you get to like 300+awhp. Its extremely efficient.

Like Yuikio said, the money is better invested into something that actually helps performance.

Searching is your best friend on this forum, like already stated above. I say get a cone filter of your choice and make yourself a heat shield.
