I need a new Cam chain tensioner for my 2001 A4 AWM. I see there is two part available. The price difference is 250 dollars. So if can help it would be greatly appreciated.[headbang]

They might be S4 units, I know on the S4 each sides tensioner has a different part number.

I called AUDI USA had they had no idea. They will call me back in a week.

If the K version is a way better part I have no problem paying more.

No difference as far as I could tell. I recently held both of them and checked for differences. I sent the K back because the E was so much cheaper. Supposedly the E version used inferior metals, I think I read that on AudiWorld. FYI: The first E version that was shipped to me was defective and blew a piece off the side while driving to Waterfest. It was covered under warranty but not the labor.
