im pretty new to modifying my car, especially with suspension. so here is my issue.. i have a 19" staggered setup, and really wide tires in the back (275's). i was planning to lower my car, and ordered h&r sport springs/bilstein shocks..but i guess i didnt realize just how wide my tires were. so my question is, can i even lower my car without it rubbing or something worse happening? or basically, what do i have to do to lower it properly with my wheel setup? someone mentioned having my fenders rolled, is this a possibility and how much am i going to be spending to have this done? thanks in advance, im kind of new to all this and definately want to do it properly.. some pictures for referance with my current wheel and stock susp. -

If you can post some more specs - tire size, wheel width, & offset - and I imagine you'll get some great info from the folks here. I hesitate to venture a guess, but considering I get scrub from my set up, I would imagine you'd have issues, at least in the rear.

i THINK, i have 19x8 with 235's and 19x9.5 with 275's. i have to check, but im pretty sure thats it..the offset is 40.

like i told you, you'll without a doubt rub in the rear. your wheels are too wide (like mine) and your tires are extremely too wide for 9.5's. I'f I'm rubbing with 10's on 255's, you're going to rub. if you're set on your setup, then yes, a fender roller is your best bet. make sure you go to a reputable shop that does it right. if not, they can crack your paint and you have to get your fenders resprayed.

the b7 already has the fenders rolled. if you feel the inner fender there is no lip. you my have to flare your fenders. i'm having the same issue.

x2. There is no fender to roll on the B7 rears. If you're rubbing just the liner then pulling em off completely will give you a few mm's of clearance (free). You also have a couple of options if you really want to lower it.
1. Pull the fenders and repaint ($$$)
2. Sell off your tires and go with a narrower size (245's fit nice on 9.5's). If you want to run a staggared size you'll need to deal with issues like this. Proper research will save you dollars in the long run. Try and go with tires that are narrow to size and stretching the rears is often needed to clear aggressive offsets. ($$)
3. If you're rubbing just slightly then shaving a few mm's off the wheel pad may help. ($)

In the end it could take a combination of any of the above to get your ride right where you want it. Price you gotta pay when running staggered. BTW car looks great!
