I am getting 19 inch wheels on my B6 S4, and want to protect them without rubbing, so, could you guys direct me to a good tires that actually has a hard sidewall, as opposed to a soft on that would end up damaging my wheels if I hit potholes....

of course, something decent prices wise...
thank you.

It doesn't matter how hard or soft the sidewall is, it is still going to damage your wheel if you hit a curb or a pothole hard enough.

What you want is a tire with a rim protector built into the sidewall. I recommend Toyo Proxes or Falken's. Bare in mind that even these won't fully protect you.

Dunlop Direzza. Lip protector, great quality, pretty strong and relatively innexpensive.
