I've heard the S4 rear brakes are a direct bolt on for the A4. Stasis has a rear brake upgrade for the B5 S4 (http://www.stasisengineering.com/Category_Detail.aspx?id=8&YR=2000&MK=Audi&EN=50&PID=47) which includes caliper carriers, rotors, pads, brake lines, and hardware, basically only missing the calipers when comparing it to the ECS S4 rear brake upgrade (http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engine=1.8T&model=B5%20A4&submodel=Quattro&category=Braking&subcategory=Big%20Brake%20OEM).

So what I'd like to do is get the Stasis upgrade and just have to get a set of calipers.

Thoughts?

They won't fit on a B6 model A4. Rotor offset relative to caliper mounting position is not correct.

I am unfamilar with the B5 A4 rear suspension so I can not comment on whether or not they will fit.

But will a S4 rear brake upgrade work?

A B5 A4 just needs B5 S4 rear calipers/carriers and the STaSIS rear upgrade will be fine;

STaSIS TrackSport 11.7" rear brake kit for B5 S4/A4; 2 STaSIS 298mm x 20mm vented/gas slotted rotors, 2 STaSIS rotor mounting hats, 2 STaSIS carrier mounting brackets, Ferodo 2500 high performance brake pads, Goodridge braided stainless steel brake lines (rear only), Motul 5.1 high performance brake fluid. A4 requires S4 calipers and carriers

This is the very STaSIS Kit Jeremy was talking about in the post directly above this post.
