Hello everyone,
I just bought my new car,A4 B7 2.0T S-LINE 2007 MODEL,on April 20 2007.
But I can not find any Warning Triangle in Trunk Lid.
From, http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1665107
"I think the warning triangle is a great safety device. You don’t even have to remove it from the holder and set it up. If you simply open your trunk lid,
the warning triangle is presented perpendicular to oncoming traffic, and can easily be seen from a mile or more away at night."
Therefoere, I think the warning triangle is a very important safety device of everyone's car.
Does anyone have have the same situation?
Please tell me,because i want to sure is it common or my dealer shop forget to put the warning triangle on my car?
Thank you very much[:)]

So...Is this problem because of Audi USA or my dealer shop?
DO YOU HAVE THE SAME SITUATION?

None of the B7 A4's came with a triangle. Audi USA cut this out!

I actually got a flat last night and went to look for it and didn't have one either.

All North American Audis do not have a warning triangle. Not even new A8s. If you want one, you should do PanEuropean's retrofit.

It is very sad why Audi USA cut it off?
If people have an accident or change tire, the Warning triangle is very useful and it can keep people more safe.At night,if we open the trunk lid,the warning triangle can let the other driver see us far away?
Therefore, the warning triangle is really an very important device of any car.

And I'm sure they'd be more than happy to sell you one.

I think they should have cut cost on anything but safety stuff, they would never take out an airbag so why take the triangle out especually for being hit by oncoming traffic. Not a smart safety decision imo
To be quite honest. Most people don't ever change or know how to change a wheel themselves. Nice addition but rarely used. I have used my warning triangle one time on my 02 a4 since owning it. And that was to show some people what it is.

You should change your statement to that all Newer model Audi's do not have the warning triangle installed. I know that at least the previous generations of Audi's (ie B5 and B6) had the warning triangle and I'm sure A6's and A8's.
This part is easy to install. I installed it into my VW Passat. There are two fasteners that must be installed underneath the trunk liner and a small slit should be made in the liner to let the holder be held securely.
If people are interested in part numbers and a write up, let me know and I can post it here.

I used mine once after getting it to redirect traffic flow along York ave in the city as I was changing my tire. It was great because I felt a bit safer knowing the drivers could see me (if they were looking, of which there was no guarantee, damn cabbies!).
A great tool and looks nice in the trunk lid as there is an indentation for it.

It would have been nice to have that warning triangle today when I needed to pull over on the freeway. Crazy LA drivers could use all the help they can get to avoid hitting something. I ended up waiting for the tow truck about 100 ft in front of the car just in case.

broke down? Use your hazards
Changing a tire? Thats what roadside assistance is for.
I bet these were some of the things that made Audi not give us the triangle in the B7, funny because I saw this B6 with it and when I looked for mine I thought the dealer had shafted me, now I know B7's dont have it. Someones gotta sell them for those that want them

The warning triangle is under the trunk lid (on B6's)
But yeah, they probably didn't find any reason to put this in. I thought how Audi was so thoughtful to have the feature, too bad theres none on the B7. You can pay $100 for it, or you can light a $3 flare. I'm a pyro so I like the flare alternative :)

In Europe it is mandatory to have a reflective vest and warning triangle in the car at all times. The vest must also be kept within reach of the driver. I bet if it was a law in the states, Audi would start putting it in again. I can't believe they want $100 for that damn thing.

I paid $20 for the triangle on eBay and $26 to Audi for the mount. The install took about 5-10 minutes.

They also stopped supplying the A4 with the nice cargo net like my B5 had....
