not looking for super track coilovers, so the 2k and up stassis tracksports are out of the question. Although id love to pick up a set.
thinking of the Stassis SS, H&R, Koni, and the Vogs

i just picked up the Stasis Street Sports on wed. and they look chill. I haven't had a chance to put them on yet, but they look sick. I picked them up in sonoma for $1070 out the door. Still looking for someone to help me put them on!!! Anybody interested?

I was in the same dilemma...after much consideration i went with the StartupRacing/VogGT co's... spring rates are a bit stiffer than Stasis SS and regular Vogs but for the $$ its was a great choice for me. Body roll and brake dive significantly reduced.Everything that was promised. Read Tomasz' write-up in his site, Startupracing.com .They list for $1249. Tell him I sent you.

STaSIS StreetSport's in for the win!
STaSIS StreetSport coilover kit for B6/B7 A4 Quattro/CVT(FWD); 4 KONI sport dampers; single adjustable (rebound), narrow band; suspension disassembly required for rebound adjustment; silver chromate plated threaded steel damper bodies; height adjustable; 4 progressive rate KONI springs (450/440 spring rate); balanced and adjusted on SPA damper dynamometer
$995
Two testimonials from a client with the STaSIS StreetSport's;
"Prior to having this suspension setup, I used to run H&R ultras which were cool if you wanted to slam your car lower than any other suspension. However, the H&R coilovers provided a very stiff ride w/o dampening adjustability. Regardless, the H&Rs went bad and it was time to replace them. After attending a Matrix Tech Day, and numerous conversations with Jeremy, I decided to go with the STaSIS setup. I have had the suspension for a month now, and am VERY HAPPY with it. The following are just a few reasons I am so satisfied with this product:
1.) Ride comfort very close to OEM
2.) Unbelievable handling - I don't take my car to the track, but have heard many people running this suspension setup on the track with great results.
3.) Provides dampening adjustability
4.) Provides ride height adjustability
5.) Great price
Best regards,
Dima"
"The suspension is incredible at maximizing the car's performance, WITHOUT sacrificing ride quality. The STaSIS suspension has enabled me to push my car to the limits, while keeping an OEM like ride. While very reasonably priced in contrast to many competing products, this is a great investment for someone who likes an occasional track day. I highly recommend this suspension setup for everyone...however, am worried that it will be harder to outpace others if they are running the same STaSIS suspension. I guess I'll just have to work on my driving abilities!

I just picked up a set of used Stasis Steetsports for $650. Included is the 1" rear spacer to control the rear height (I'm not going that low, probably 25.5" or a little less in the rear). This will be my daily driver so I wanted something comfortable. I'd get this kit over the standard Koni set since the shocks, though changeable, have been calibrated for our cars. Can't wait to throw them on.

the H&Rs are amazing coil overs - they are comfortable and yet preform. MSRP is $1330. Creative price is $1150
KWs are also a great set of coil overs. The great part about them is the different options you get with them.
V1 - Ride Height Adjustable - MSRP: $1325
V2 - Ride Height & Dampening adjustable - MSRP: $1725
V3 - Ride Height, Dampening and Rebound adjustable - MSRP: $1995
Shoot me a PM for the Pricing on the KW parts. :)
Another Alternative is going the be the Tein Coil Overs.
The Basics are an excellent suspension for the price! They are ride height adjustable and are a the best bang for the buck!
The SS' are a bit more aggresstive. They also have 16 levels of damping force adjustment (compression and rebound together).
Tein Basics CREATIVE PRICE - $792.10 SHIPPED
Tein SS' CREaTIVE PRICE - $1112.50 SHIPPED
please shoot me a PM if there anyone has any questions about anything? or would like to place an order.

The Koni's and Stasis streets are the same - Stasis does add something to the rear to make adjustment a little easier.. but they're ~$50 more.
I have the Koni's and am very happy with them. 100% damp up front, 90% rear, ride is very compliant and comfortable. I've had the car corner balanced and professionally aligned... so handling is out of this world - on rails.
call Eric at Supreme Power Parts for Koni's or Stasis.. you'll be VERY glad you did. $$

Similar hard components, different STaSIS mojo.
The STaSIS Street Sport coilovers are slightly different than the off-the-shelf Koni coilovers in that STaSIS sets the damping for optimum ride/handling, sets the spring perch heights, includes polyethylene spacers as well as detailed and easy-to-follow English instructions.

^^^ Why is it that the STaSIS SS only come with one wrench??? My set only had one wrench for the perch locks in the front, but nothing to adjust the perch's with. And the rear....I cant adjust it unless i drop the subframe, you cant twist the perch because the wrench that was included doesnt work very well....

The wrench (same unit in STaSIS and Koni kits) works for both perches---we use the same single spanner wrench here.
There is too much load on the rear so it's one of the only ways to do it.

It's a generic box. If Koni and STaSIS had to have a specific box illustrating all the nuances of each kit, they'd be in the cardboard business.
