So has anyone else had the pleasure of removing the Avant's XM/Sirius receiver? I was undecided as to whether or not God hates me until i embarked on that effort.

It was definitely more of a pain in the butt than expected. Ze Germans do things interestingly sometimes. :)

Why would you remove the receiver? I'm curious.

To replace it. This is required if you want rns-e yet your receiver doesn't support rns-e (like mine was). Alternatively, you would have do replace it if u wanted to swap XM for sirius, or vice versa.
