Hey everyone, my dad just bought an 04 cpo'd A8L with 23k miles that had a msrp of 52400 for 42k. I was wondering how good of a deal this is for a fully loaded 2004 A8L. It's obviously 10k less than msrp but what kind of price should we expect to pay. I ask now because we can return it tonight or within 3 days if we aren't satisfied. Are there any known problems to watch out for? I know they are great cars, but is there anything else to know? Thanks!

If i remember right you should update the firmware. Otherwise you might get crazy alerts from time to time. (Handbrake warning, speed warning even if speed warning is turned off etc) Friend had exactly that type of problems and it turned out that it was a not updated version. So in case you get that update it.

You will be in good shape. That is low miles so your very fortunate. I have an 06 and my guages are doing the same thing now, speed warning and front light not working light. All false alerts maybe I need the firmware update as well. $42K is a great deal for a 3 year old car that was $75 new. Good Luck and enjoy!!!

Well we ended up paying 38k for it, 36 month lease, 0 down, 800 a month, residual of 17500, and they ate up my dads 530i trade-in. I think the genius part was the fact that originally this was all based on a 48 month lease which would leave the final year of the lease with no warranty (what's the point of that?), so as we were getting ready to just say screw it and leave during paper signing the manager came in an knocked off the final year and made it 36 month without adjusting the monthly payment...so that's a savings of roughly 9k! Not too shabby if you ask me [:D]
Thanks guys! [up]

What was the money factor or interest rate?
At 46% residual that's strong!
