This may have been asked before, but I am going to ask anyway. Does anyone know of a good place to put a sub in a b7 avant? I have seen some people w/ B6s' who have built a custom box in the compartment on the left side but, mine has a big black plastic thing in there (sirius?). Right now I have a normal box and it takes up too much space. Anyone have any ideas or have done something with a sub in a b7?

Well, you could always make a box for the right side (which will replace the stock sub) and hide your amp in the false floor.. You could also toss your spare and put your sub there..

I wonder if you could relocate your sirius unit someplace else?

How big of a sub are you looking for?

If you are like me I want nice filling bass... not the rattle the windows kind.

I have always loved my Basslink.

Now there are even smaller models...

A Kenwood KSC-SW1 is under $150 on Ebay and provides some punch without much size.

I had a basslink in my MK5 GTI (similar accept bigger than the Kenwood) and I mounted it to the back of my rear seats! No space used... well almost no space.

It would be cool if someone could build a replacement enclosure (like the one in attempted GB for B6s) and amp for a B7 Avant that would fit in the original space and adapt it to use the original harness without cutting any wires... wait, was I thinking that or did I actually say it???

That could work, i'm sure the "internal" space is fairly similar to the B6's..

The only thing i can think of that would not make a plug and play setup is that (at least in the B6's) the rear amp is power both the sub and the rear speakers, so adding another amp might be kinda weird.

You can just attatch a highpass filter and get input to the sub that way.. That would probably be even easier!!
