1. A8L mini-stretch, like the previous gen BMW L7 or the W220 Brabus Business Sedan. This one is probably done by one of the smaller armoring/coachbuilding firms like Trasco or ArmorTech. The stretch is about 10 inches, the interior can either simply be extra legroom or a wall with an LCD screen and laptop setup.

The 2nd one is the "official" version. I have exactly the same model. The "official" model distributed by Audi Germany has indicators in the mirrors. That's the first sign to watch for.

Not only indicators, but Luzhkov's has white strobes cut into the mirror indicators (too bad this shot didnt catch them going off), as well as strobes in each of the head and tail lights, in addition to the blue strobes on the grille, Premier Hazard "sound system", B6/B7 armoring, at least 3 phone systems, and a host of other toys.
He just got it a few months ago, he was using a couple of armored D2s, but one of them burned down a few months ago inside his garage, some sources say that some wiring in the adjacent car short-circuited, started a fire that spread o the A8. He was using a Maybach for a few weeks until this new A8L came in.
I still like the mini-stretch A8 better, I have an obsession with BMW L7s, only seen one in the states though back in 2005, got a sh!tty pic of it here
