View Full Version : Koni Coilover problem (broken spring) Update

I purchased a used set of Koni Coilovers and one of the springs is broken. Any advice about what to do.

I've already Emailed Koni to see what they might do. I also Emailed the seller...he seems like a decent guy and would probably either refund my money or at least enough to replace the springs.

Any advice appreciated.

I don't know if thats gonna do alot of good their 3-4 years old and I don't think the warranty is transferable.

I bet you can get spare parts, i have a set of FKs on my car and had a shock blow out on the rear, by emailing them direct i found a UK distro that will get me any parts i require

It has to be worth an email bud?

I talked to the seller. We agreed that we would work something out once I find out what Koni is willing to do.

I had issues with my KW coilovers and got referred to the NA rep. That just happened to be HPA Motorsports. They took care of everything. All you need is to find the right person to talk to.

I dont think that even if you bought them used it should matter...dont konis have a life time warrenty

Koni NA is very good about issues like this...I had a blown rear strut and dealt with SPP to get it replaced under warranty. Broken spring sounds like it should fall under a warranty claim no matter what.

Update talked to Koni today. They hooked me up. They said pay shipping ($11.00) and they are sending 2 replacement rear springs.

hats off to koni ... i dont think their are many companies that would do that for someone that purchased a used product.
