View Full Version : Some Info. on the APR fuel pump!
Looks like the benefits are substantial even on KO3!
"Adds (according to the APR gents from calibration tests) 25hp and 30-35lb/ft at low and midrange speeds with a much stronger top end and NO FUEL CUT."

wow thats awesome.. any info on availability or pricing?
Kieth from APR mentioned on vwvortex it would be about US$1000. But I don't think this is the final price. Lets hope it ends up being less!
If these figures are accurate it might be worth it though! With 100 octane Flash, fuel pump, test pipe, exhaust and air filter you might get close to the 300hp(at the fly wheel) mark.

doesn't seem like that much of a dream if the stock pump is a 25hp handicap on the k03 and he is already at 270+ on his k04

that's 100 octane though right?

I've been doing extensive data logging. I can get the same results with mixing 93 with 104 for a blend of 97 octane.

^^ good question, anybody know if this will noticeably affect gas mileage?

This sure makes the KO4 a more attractive upgrade!
Fuel consumption will suffer! The only reason you need a new pump is so it can pump more fuel to cope with the extra boost.

Do you have a 100 octane program yet? or are you still just using the higher octane fuel on the 93 program?

i have the race gas program for the k04... havent bothered to use it tho
Why not?
because i havent needed too and for now i have taken my turbo exhaust and programs off as i had to go get my gearbox rebuilt and i tried to get warranty but i have no warranty really anymore so it was a waist of time!! have got my car booked in for next week to have everything put back on!!
hey nico i will be driving up to sydney soon so when i do i will pack some 110octain gas and we can go have some fun!! hopefuly by then i will have the fuel pump too
That would be great! I'd love to feel the difference the KO4 makes..
Let me know when you come back. Good luck with the gearbox.
