And I pulled the fuse cover off to replace the fuse, but I must have forgotten there are about 150 fuses in there and no diagram. Can someone tell me which fuse to replace? And are there any "spares" in there?

Spares should be closest to you, when you pull them out there wont be any metal tabs under it where it plugs in.

You should be able to find the spot you pulled the fuse out of by looking for a spot where there are 2 metal tabs to plug the fuse into.

the fuse is not missing, the fuse is apparently bad.

and there is no legend on the back of my fuse box cover.

the car is a '97 2.8Q automatic.

Do your headlights work? Fan blower?

its the hazard signal switch, theres a relay or something in it that when gone bad, the turn signals dont work. Had it happen to me, went to audi and got a new one for like 35 bucks, popped it in and everything was fine.

headlights and fan blower both work.

is the flasher unit located inside the hazard switch? that's what I've gathered from a quick google search. . .if so, how hard is it to remove the switch? can you buy the flasher at an auto parts store or do you need to replace the entire OEM assembly?

Don't want to break anything, searched and haven't seen anything real clear on how to go about removing that switch. . .

its the entire thing, its really easy you just take the surrounding trim off it and it will come right out, took me about 5 minutes once I got the switch. Sadly yes, you do need the entire thing, cant just go to an autozone or something and pick it up. http://ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi/?imageID=4681&html=viewimage.html

ecstuning has it for like 30 bucks.

My turn signals started acting strange yesterday. When I signal either left or right, they flash a couple times and then...nothing. Would this also be the hazard relay??? Can't be the bulbs, since it is both sides.

TIA.
