Hey guys....

has anyone done the convertion to the b7 RS4 mirrors....

if so, how did you attatch the mirror hoursing to the door....

you have to get the oem mounting plates also. just having the rs4 housings won't work.

i asked the dealer all the parts comes together around 1100 for a pair....and 200 for installation~

I did this last summer, and I think the write up was lost in the crash.
The mirror end plate has to fit under the window trim, with rubber trim I could do this but if u have chrome trim I dont know if it will be that easy

Im sure it will be easy if you take off the window frame... I think its only like 4 bolts and its out of you way...

Ok great thanks, basically we have everything together, however we are having problems getting the mirror to attach to the car.

question:

How did you attach the two clips that are in each leg of the mirror. basically the male metal pin that is treaded on the door side, with the pointing side pointed to the mirror side, how did you get the pin to slide into the U bracket on the mirror side?

Elbow grease...
The way the pins are made I guess thats the point, extra insurance that the mirrors are securly attached.
I pushed those together before putting the whole thing on the car
