Hello fellas,
Apparently, my Evoms's dv valve went bad and I'm going to replace it within couple of days. What is the best DV valve for K04 turbo? If I can recall correctly, Greddy makes a BOV that has a VERY simliar setting to our DV valve right?

My second question is, what kind of TT carriers and A8 rotors should I get from my local European-only part store? (i.e. A8 rotors + TT carriers from what year and model) And what kind of brake pads do I need to use on that set-up?

Thanks in advance ppl!

I belive that the TT caliper brackets you need are the Gen 2 (2000-2006)

Audi Part# 8N0-615-125 (audi TT brake caliper brackets)
There is the part number for them and here's a DIY for the front and rear

Forged 710n? LOL

First off it is "Forge" as in Forge Motorsport and 710n is a OEM bosch plastic bpv. The Forge valve you are talking about is the 007P.

A41.8tqmsCT - are you sure your Evoms DV went bad? Have you ever cleaned it out and lube the inside of the valve?

Yeah there should have been a comma between those forge, 710n
(new model audi) - 710n

GiacGRs4, I never said that is sux, I just was unaware that it made a BOV noise, accually I have been told they are great, though they are pretty

Damn is it me or is the spelling and grammer getting worse as it gets later each night? Half the time reading a sentance gives me a head ache since I have to correct words in my head to understand what they are trying to say. That or some people have been going to the english class taught by "boooostedA4.[;)]

You want your brake pads to match your calipers, thus TT brake pads

A8 setup uses stock calipers and TT calipers which is why you use A4 pads instead of TT pads. Now if you were using TT calipers then yes you would want to use TT pads.

he BOV in a bad idea the A4 is unmeasured air, If you have to have a "spooosh" noise get a hybrid BOV

Umm... no. As long as you have your BOV re-circulated how is it ANY different than a DV? And with the being said, how is it a bad idea?

I guess what you meant to say was that having a BOV dump in the atmosphere is a bad idea. But as long as you use it properly, you’re ok. My GReddy Type S, which is recirculated, works great. Just as well as my old EVOMS Dv.

Fixed so you don't confuse him even more! It took me a second to figure that out.

Well a BOV with a recirculate kit is just a BPV and no longer a BOV. It is only a BOV without anything hooked up to the outlet which is why it is called a Blow Off Valve.

Kyle H - Thanks.

And a Hybrid recuculates about half the air and the other half goes "SWoooOoSsSHHh" (into the atmophere)when you let of the gas

If he wants a sound

Air Box Mod
710N
GIAC

Then there is the adjustable hybrid (GFB stealth) which allows you to adjust anywhere from 100% bpv to 100% BOV.

My Type S still make's its cute little sound.

I always thought it was called a Blow Off Valve because it would Blow Off the extra pressure.
