View Full Version : These wheels?

So I work for an insurance company. Some vehicles and property items become legally ours. So we have inter-office salvage sales. Pretty much like a silent auction. Anyway, these wheels are on there. What do you guys think? Would they even look good on a B7? Should I put a bid on anyway? They are 19's. I believe they are for a Mercedes. Forgot to mention, the starting bid is $100.

I kinda like them, but everyone hates my wheels, so don't listen to me

IMO NO CHROME

If you like them, then find out if the bolt pattern and ET are correct for your car

would probably look better with black center...if you get them for cheap...resell them and buy something nicer.

Yeah...buy em for cheap and put em up on EBay if you don''t like em. They look alright though. I don't like chrome but otherwise they aren't bad.

not bad. They look like they might be true 3 piece. Test fit them after you get them. If you don't like the chrome you can get them blasted and painted.

Shit, if you can snag them for $100, you might as well! Paint the center part matte black and call it a day!

Did the guy describe them as in very poor shape, some bent, curb rashes etc? I think I've seen that auction before and wouldn't bother buying wheels in such poor condition because of the cost of having them fixed.

There is no way you could have seen this auction before. It is a private auction held by my business that is only accessed by employees.

So to answer your question, there is no real description of the shape of the item.

Right. And maybe previous to that private auction he had them on eBay.
And why would you buy something that offered, "No real description of the shape of the item?" [confused]

Who are you talking about "he"? These items are owned by mercury insurance. They were either taken back from our insured's, or left behind at a residence. In turn, those items become our posession. Then those items are auctioned off to the business' employess. Is this going right over your head?

No one could have auctioned these off before. This is a private auction. No one has access.

Anyway, here is a better picture:
