Might do mine soon, just have to order some of the paint. Was able to find some on www.summitracing.com from VHT, comes in Black, Red or Gray. Which color do you think would look best with my Pelican Blue?

Post pics up if you have done this already.

LOL, dont worry. I wouldn't dare put anything on my IM since that will just help keep the heat in. Plus I have a custom IM going on [:p]

Post up another pic of your engine bay. Do you have any other colored pieces like hoses or fittings?

lol Wasnt really directing towards you but before i thought painting it black i always speculated as to whether paint would actually insulate and trap heat, most people said it wouldnt make a difference , But cant say i noticed anything yet after running it for a while (black on black)

also from other threads, i remember that you have to spray quite a few coats pretty close to get the actual rough/thick look

why wrinkle? if your car is down why not spend the money and get it powdercoated? There are so many color options these days, it would be sweet if you could get something close to the exterior color of the car, plus the added bonus of never having to worry about it ever again.

Not looking for the "bling" factor here, just looking to clean up the valve cover a little. I will most likely just do the valve cover and coil heat shield in black wrinkle paint.

yep and I am not plan on cleaning that area too often. Well it looks like it will be painted black, since 034 is doing some parts with black wrinkle paint right now anyway.
