'98 AUDI A4 quattro, what is the spring that goes the lowest or about 2" ?? Coilovers obviously go very low but since i have a nice set of shocks all i need is some springs, a a 2" would be perfect[:D]

Most likely H&R Race Springs.

h&r's race springs will be one of the better spring sets you can get, but their website states that it lowers them 1.9" in front and 1.5" in back, so it'll be close.

if you really want to dump it and stay with your shocks, check out ECS' coilover kit for shocks. I have them and can slam my car.

^or do that with properly valved sport shocks like the grooved bilsteins. [;)]

you could also go with the cheapest method of getting some of your larger friends and giving the stockers some heat with a torch.

oh wait, are we talking about stock shocks? if so, ignore to my post above. you need some bilsteins or equal aftermarket to use the ECS kit.

well i already have the shocks but the problem is that i need springs to run that like H&R's or Eibachs becuase they only sell the perches

Save your money...
5" drop LMAO... (they probably meant 1.5" drop)
THe streets in NYC is bad enough dropping it that low would make your car undrivable... (from dodging pothole to raised plows and manhole covers)

The craigslist ad is full of shit doesn't even say if it's for quattro or not...

For the same price you can have a brand new pair of struts and race springs...

I almost have a 5" drop. Its not what you want it sounds like. And i dont give a shit what shock/strut combo you have, they will die shortly with a 5" drop.

I don't want to be pessimistic but you live in NYC. I'm on sport H&R springs and some parts of NYC its a fine line between my chassis and the road. You're going to be bottoming out all over the place, I have to drive at 5mph through some places not to bottom out. Trust me man, you're better off with sports in the city.

You'll be plenty low regardless.

HEHEHE i hoped no one would post something like this, but for me 2" is STOCK Drop, and yes is live and drive in NYC. my previous BMW was dropped 4" and the current one is a bit over 3" so im very used to driving that low, that a 2" will be no hassle at all.

Besides ride height which ones are stiffer. I know that coilovers would be the best if u want stiff, but if your on a budget what would u guys suggest?
