What is the widest tire I can put on a 19x8.5 et35 wheel with out rubbing? I also don't want it to look like the tires are stretched. I have a 02 A4 1.8T sport. Any help and pics would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jon

235/35/19 is the correct size.
245/35/19 is a little bigger but would work.

That's not true... what offset are your wheels? you have a B5?

Not sure where you got this idea. I am running an 8.5" wide wheel with a 245 and have no rubbing on my 04 B6. You might have more issues clearance wise on a B5.

I appreciate all the info. I also for got to mention I will be putting on the Bilstein PSS9 system. Not sure if that will cause any issues.

Does anyone have a pic of a 19x8.5 w/245/35/19 or 235/35/19 tires? So I can see how the side wall looks. Again thanks for all the help.
