Penske Audi GTG (Rocket Run!) April 22nd!!!

First off, let me thank all of you guys for being patient with us while we are getting up and running. Trust me, it will all be worth it once we get the doors open! Now on to some fun...

Our first official event, and this is the game plan for Sunday the 22nd of April.

We will be meeting @ Johnny Rockets in Victoria Gardens (address posted below) @ 9a.m...they open for normal business at 10 but we've made arrangements to have them play host for us exclusively an hour early.

We will be leaving Johhny Rockets at 10am-10:15am to embark on a spirited, scenic canyon drive up Azusa Canyon Rd. From Victoria Gardens we'll be hopping on the 15 to the 210 then up to the Canyon. As always, please obey all posted speed limits, be respectful of local authorities and all that good stuff. This isn't a race but just a nice sunday morning canyon carving session.

Afterwards, we will caravan back to our home -- Penske Audi in West Covina. We'll give you guys the grand tour, give you a chance to meet the staff and just chat it up about Audi in general.

Hope to see all of you guys there and put some faces to names finally. This is the first of many events that we'll be hosting and we look forward to getting to know all of you guys and gals. Again, thanks for all the kind words and support everyone, drive safely!

i'm sure you're referring to the new TT, either the hardtop or roadster, both of which are red. i've been in contact with AoA folks as we recently as well, in fact i spent a good amount of time at their Audi hospitality tent yesterday at the LBGP/ALMS races. it was also at the Downtown LA Audi Stars and Cars event last WED. thats a pretty cool car. loves the seats in the new TT.

Had a minor set back this weekend, possible oil sludge issues. Hopefully I'll have it back by this weekend but I wont know until it gets to the dealer.

I'm hoping for the best but as of today my dealer still "doesnt know whats wrong." They're thinking its just a leak, but I'm thinking its a little worse than that.

Anyone going that has vag-com?, I just reflashed yesterday morning. I was driving around in the afternoon, got on the 5fwy onramp, stopped at the red light and put the lever on Tip mode. When the green came on, I gunned it, shifted to 2nd gear and halfway through, the CEL came on [mad] ...car seems to be running normal though[confused]

Sorry guys but unfortunately my car is having the same "oil" issues that I just got it back from service for. They told me to drive it under "light load" and bring it to the dealer on monday. I knew it was more involved than simply being "a quart low on oil"

so the car is just gonna sit all weekend, looks like I wont be making this one after all...

Sucked you missed it dude, big time. It was real fun, met a lot of nice people, but dont think your car would've made it, I put about 180 Miles on the car, with that oil problem good thing you didn't try to make it!

that little canyon run was fun for sure, and off roading our modded Audi was even better ^^. Great place you guys have there, the R8 was amazing, can't wait until the V10 version comes in. Like Chris said few post up, we should do this more often. Thank you guys (Chris, Jason, Verone, and the rest of the Penske crew), it was also great to see some old faces. I am tempted for another Audi....
