how do I update this I do not see the option to in the profile editing area?

This feature is not yet in place. You can't join groups.

i see, i thought it was to list groups and or clubs you actually belong too, i.e PCA, SAE, etc.

One would think that, but no it's for specific "Groups" within Audizine. A Group could be a club you belong to, which we'd make a specific forum for, that only members of that club or group could access.
