I was just thinking about this. I haven't removed my bumper in over 2 years so correct me if I'm wrong but to get to the 2 long alen bolts you have to remove the side grills correct? if so, when you do the RS4 mod to the bumper and you install the mesh in the side grills, how do you get to the long alen bolts?

EDIT: Nevermind, you just remove the grills as normal. I was thinking they were molded for some reason. I'm gonna get some coffee now.

rayala,
one thing that works for me is to spray wd 40 in between the fender & bumper to get those plastic side mounts, makes it easier for me to pull them off so i don't have to go hulk when i remove the side mounts. especially if you have a lot of dirt built up in there.

Don't do it, it makes the bumper really weak, and the grill section will either break or crack.

and then you can just pull the grills out and redo it.. its just a thin piece of urethatne

your bumper wont collapse or anything

I'd bet it makes the bumper stronger than ever if properly modded. The remaining pieces will get back-filled with glass and resin making them plenty strong.
