I have a quick question that I think I already know the answer to but I just wanted to verify it first. I have a 2001 A4 with factory headlights (not HIDs) and I plan on getting the H7 HID kit from cqlights. This kit will fit in the factory low beam spot correct? I searched the site for some pictures of cars with HIDs installed and a lot say they either have ecode housings with HIDs or they don't say what they have. I just wanted to make sure they will fit before I spend the $. Also, what's the advantage of running them with ecode housings?

Thanks

Yes the H7 will fit into your OEM socket, the HID ready lights have a diffrent shield in them to prevent you from blinding on comming traffic, the OEM design HID's the ingnitor mounted to the rear of the headlight and looked pretty, the Ecodes are much prettier.... the projectors also consentrate the light beam to roadway, and the cool ones have little motors in them to keep the lights on the ground

Your HID color temp bulbs ranges from 4300k- to 14000k, 4300k is oem style white and 14000k is as blue as you can get them
The kit come in 35w and 50w, most people are very happy with the 35w, I bought some 50w and I love them.... here is a pic of the diffrence between halogen and a 50w HID 6000k

if you buy the kit from visionbulbs.com they have updated their kit so that it doesn't cause headlamp waning light anymore.
