I put a vacuum hose to the one hole, and compressed air on the other side and everything just disappeared.

Do at your own risk but I used some distilled water. I didn't get any spots from it.

when I modded my ecode housings to accept the rs6 hella ballasts I had the same problem. I tried compressed air and vacuuming but it never removed all of the crap. I ended up just filling everything up with water and flushing it out. Took a hair dryer and dried them out. Worked very well.

I removed everything related to the lighting components. Just the housing touched the water. I made sure it was completely dry before reassembling.

Yup me too I still have a lot of shavings left in my housing. I was wondering how to get them out too. I guess I'll try the compressed air and vaccum idea. When we were doing my headlights we just tried using compressed air to blow it out. Unfortunately didn't work too well.

i have some left in my housings but they're all like.. underneath in the back or something, so you can't reallly see any when they're in. i'm not too worried about it.
