Hi all,

I'm about to swap my 16" Stock alloy wheels with 18s.

Do I also need to replace the shocks and Springs - they are stock.

Are coilovers the best?

Could you suggest a few.

Thanks!

look over the last few pages. there have been some pretty informative suspension discussions recently.

The second you put those 18s on you'll realize that you'll want to lower your car also. Your wheel gap will look much more pronounced. You also have more suspension options over on your side of the pond than we do over here.

If you haven't got a suspension yet, I would say go with some coilovers. Alot of guys I know got the springs but ended up with coilovers in the long run. One of my personal favorites is the Stasis Street Sport (http://www.stasisengineering.com/suspension.shtml) set up. Check them out, I think you'll like them.

Yes, u need to lower with 18s, if you have oem sport springs and shocks, they will be ok for a while before u see your friends or here they will tell u to drop it. Stock u can probably stick a baby's head in the gap.

Why would you want to put a baby's head in the gap?

It's not necessary to lower it, but it does look a hell of a lot better that way.
