So I've added a few new toys to the mod list. The biggest and best being the Ohlins Suspension. What an amazing difference. Also added the Stasis rear brakes, some race harnesses and did the clear corner mod. While the lights were apart, I also had the silver inside painted black. Here's some pics of the new toys.

Soloracer.com. I modified them by using some belts and clips off a used A4 so that they clip in and out quickly without having to drill anything, yet mount to the stock location on the seat.

Track rims will be on soon. They are at Stasis's machine shop to get drilled out to fit Audi's hole pattern. They are Wedsports TC-005 18lbs 18 x 8.5. Will be running 265's on all four corners. Should stick like glue, and accelerate better out of turns. Hear is a pic:

Your mod list is beefy.
Seriously.
Those are some high-dollar additions that you've made and upon first glance, I think those wheels are hot as hell. (Not to mention only 18lbs!)
Nicely done and keep us posted as the rest of the mods get added.
Great car so far.

And are u gonna have the fenders rolled, cause most say 245 is the biggest u can go without surgery/rubbing, or does stassis know something the rest dont??

Bingo! 265's is what Stasis runs on their signature cars. They've been doing it on B6's for a while now if I'm correct. Sometimes front fender needs rolling. Depends on what tire you run and how well you choose your offsets.
I've been tracking the car for almost a year, and the harnesses hold me in good enough for now so I'm not planning on new seats.

I bought 2 of these seat belt clips with 3 feet of belt on them used from Shokan, than took off the female side of the lap part of the harness, and fed the used belt through the harness where the female side used to be. Then take off your stock belt from the seat via the clip, and clip on the one now attached to the harness. It is a fast OEM connection to the seat and you can install it in 2 seconds. The belt should have come this way from the beginning!

Disregard the silver harness adapter in the photo that is bolted to the seat in the pic. It was only temporary.

So, do you bolt the stock clip back on, sandwiched with the end for the harness you created? Or, do you have to bolt/unbolt to use the stock belts?
Boy, a lot of people (B6 and 7 A4 and S4) could use a DIY with pics on this. I'm not sure I completely understand your step-by-step (not enough coffee this morning!)

I'm holding the stock belt with the clip on the end of it in the pic. It clips and unclips onto that white painted knob on the seat. So the idea is to buy another one of these, and feed it through the belt permenantly. So when you want to put in the harness, you unclip the stock 3 point belt, and clip in the harness. No tools or unbolting at all!

err you gotta get racing seats to match the harnesses. imo they dont look good with stock seats. you shouldve got some Willans harnesses. it has a center lock instead of the seat belt buckle type. you can also get these in black. ive used these for 5 years and they are great on my track car.

Thanks to all for the compliments. It means a lot since I've got so much time and $$ invested in her. For those asking" why a Tip?", I went with it for several reasons, the biggest being that when I bought the car last May, I had broken my right ankle really bad snowboarding in April, and after 2 surgery's later, it's still not healed, so a manual was out of the question. Also, I really wanted a DSG or SMG style car for the track, but no DSG on an A4, so the next best thing was an S-Line Tip with paddles. It actually works really well on the track with the exception of downshifting after long fast straights. Sometimes it unsettles the car because it's not matching RPM's like a DSG would. It's also got a .5 second delay in upshifting, so you have to hit the + paddle earlier than you think by about 300 rpm's.

Yep, definitely need the engine detailed. I spun out at Thunderhill last fall on turn 1 at about 80-90 mph so dust and hay went everywhere! Ended up breaking rear sway bolt from that one!
I'm not trading in the seats, at least not yet, because it is still a daily driver. Also I am not gonna hack up a year old interior on a $40k car to install a permanent harness. I only use the harnesses for the track, not street, so the clip-in Rally Harness works great. Drive to the track, then clip it in in less than 1 minute per side, no drilling required!
I've been working on setting the car up so that I can drive to the track and have it prepped for that day in like a 1/2 hour. I'm gonna run the Falken 615's on my track rims this year, so I can drive to the track with the wheels on, plus I want to run on street tires some more before graduating to a full R compound tire with little forgiveness. Once I get to the track, I just clip in the harnesses and tighten up the Ohlins with the clickers and I'm done!
I'm also gonna switch to wheel studs so tire changing is easier.
As far as the city lights go, I haven't payed much attention to them. I had Creative do the CC mod along with painting the lights inside when I was down in San Diego a couple of weeks ago.

Creative did the CC mod and painted them too.
I had the filler plate match painted along with the reflectors.
The grill is an RS4 grill, but I snapped out the matte silver ring and snapped in the chrome stock one, because I think it looks better that the ring matches the rest of the chrome trim, plus I wanted a different look than most with this mod.

I know I like my stock S-Line wheels too, but they are anchors at almost 30lbs each! For the street, I think I might replace them with either the Rennworx or Stasis's Volk's in a 19" with 265's all the way around. Either rim will be in the 18-19 lbs range! I think I'm gonna run the Toyo Proxus 4's so that I can be M+S rated for snowboarding, and I think they will also make for a good rain tire for the track.
Here are the 2 rims I'm thinking of:

They took the 14.5" fronts off their website for some reason. The rears are not on their site yet. Call Jason at Stasis. 1-888-9-stasis. When I did the front kit last year it was around $3200-$3500. Mine was the first B7 to get the 14.5's. $800 for the rear kit last week.

My next track day is April 20th at Laguna with Speed Ventures. This will be the first test of the Ohlins on the track since replacing the Tracksports. My last track day was at Laguna as well, so this will be perfect for a comparison. Now the only weak point on the car is the shitty OEM Conti sport contact 2's. I hate those things! They are hard as a rock, but I'm gonna run them till there's nothing left on them. I figured if I can learn to be fast on shitty tires, then when I get some real rubber, I'll be that much faster and smoother. I want to learn be smoother on the track and an instructor once told me that driving on shitty tires will teach you how to be smoother.
As for the Tip, I don't have any huge complaints except that sometimes when it downshifts during braking, it unsettles the car a little. Of course the manual is better for track, but I think the paddles are more fun to drive[race]
If I had your car, this is all the insiration I would need: Volk Time Attacks, 18-19lbs!

Speed Ventures is $320. I've never run with them but I think they are based out of LA. I don't need to be spending anymore money right now, but it's hard to pass up a track day that's practically in my backyard, and I think it is the last public day at Laguna till next fall or winter! Laguna officials are such whores!
Anyways, I think I'm the only Audi signed up, so come join me and we'll show them what 4 rings can do!

Funny thing is, I have a Timex digital Chrono watch with a velcro wrist band. You should be able to find one at Mervyns for less than $30. It wraps around the steering wheel and ties down really nice. I tie it up around the volume scroll button. It's so easy to press the button with your right thumb as you cross the start/finish. I did a 2 min. lap in the rain. In the dry, I did a 1:57.

Only 3 seconds slower in the rain. Wow! I've never driven the car hard in the rain. I'm afraid to, especially the way my luck has been going with my hobbies. Broken arm and ankle last year, and now tonsil surgery this past week!
