Looks like Mike at Pure Motorsports has just released a new product just for this.

The new Stern line of products are created to address the growing problems of deteriorating drivetrain components on the Audi/VW platform.

Beginning with the A4 1.8T we've created an all-new design to replace the woefully soft driver side transmission mount. This new design features some key elements to ensure a great quality product.

Features:
* Polyurethane Bushings
* Laser cut washers
* All steel, welded construction
* Powder coated for protection
* All new hardware
* Replaceable bushings
* Factory fitment

This new mount installs very quickly for the average DIY and reduces transmission slop immediately.

hey Mike, i bought the 034 tranny mount. Is the vibration on it mild or excessive? Deciding if i should install it.

Well I also run solid engine mounts and get a slight vibration at idle, but this is most likely because of all the solid mounts I have in the car and the cams. The solid trans mount shouldn't cause all that much vibration if you are still running some type of OEM engine mounts.

You might feel some vibration at first but that might go away after it has been on for a bit. If not I guess the worse thing to do would be to remove it and sell it.

I also have the S4/2.8L engine mounts and AWE DTS...and its great. I never noticed any significant vibrations at idle or otherwise.

But getting back to the trans mounts...this is only for the driver side mount...what is recommended for upgrading the pass side trans mount?
