A lenient Dealership? [Archive]

okay... i have a problem with the check engine light coming up.
i had the testpipe and dv replacement done a month ago. And about a week ago, my check engine light came on and it went away the next day. but it popped up again last night and was gone again this afternoon when i woke up.

i was advised to have it checked at the dealership. but Im chipped and have testpipe and im afraid the dealership might take away my warranty. AND! i have heard that the b7 a4s have a recall going on and that the dealer will reflash my car and ill lose my chip.

Plus i dont have the stock mode so the dealership WILL know im chipped.

does anyone know a lenient guy in socal thatll let me slide with this? because
I need oil change.... this weekend.

If it's only an oil change then do it yourself or Jiffy Lube it! I'm serious lol.

Sean you should think about doing oil changes more often. You only get free oil changes every 10k miles from the dealership.

Just don't tell them anything and.... Don't complain about anything about your car.

I told them all my stuff and they're like... Cool and even my adviser was asking me where did I get my stuff at and stuff. =)

because i dont have the lock out program. or stock mode. and my testpipe smells and makes the testpipe noise...

When I went into the dealership...
They just changed my oil, topped my fluids, and checked my air filter!

And gave me a car wash.. they have no reason to check your chip I think. So you shouldn't worry. There's nothing wrong with your car, so don't bring it up. I even told them that i'm lowered and I wanted to chip it and my adviser was giving me suggestions too!

and yeah i remember i went there cuz my trunk wouldnt close.. and they fixed it but...

i was looking at the rs4's and this one fat white man... kind of tall was talking to me all about the car and aftermarket products and stuff. he was nice yeah too.

but... iono. if you were chippd and went in and had no problem then... id feel more confident. and also i fear the reflashing of ecu.

i got the reflash from eurocode.
it only came on twice and its went away the day after.
it weirded me out.

all my mods are purchased and installed by ecode.
except my rims.

That's a cool dealership and I've had great experiences with them.
Your only other option is... Jiffy lube or other oil change places.

yeah my friend has a is250... boo boo shit... i burn his car like nothing... but 350 is diff story. my friends main shop is LMS. got his intake and exhauust from there.

Doug's car is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAST! I got a ride in it a few days ago and he bumps Fin.K.L in it- awesome!

Fin.K.L died when I was in high school, but Hyolee is still around and doing her thing :drool:

take it to eurotech (Jose).. but they are always busy.. you wont be able to make an appointment by this weekend.. almost everyone with a B6 takes their car there.. real cool guy
just go downtown LA.. everybody knows we r chipped.. they are not dumb.. downtown audi will not care unless you come in with a blown turbo or transmitter.. you should be fine.. just dont tell them about the CEL.. if they say anything.. tell them you will take care of it somewhere else..

jp yeah fuck it! 60-80 bucks for oil change... i might sound cheap but thats alot money to me... thats a days worth of working. plus im trying ot lower my car... i got rims but car looks like a 4x4 right now

Ya, Manna's price is what makes it SO great to me. I'm just not a fan of the valet parking though. I usually just hand the valet some cash (how much depends on my mood) and just park it myself in the front and far enough away from people and other cars.

Lol, I'm not Korean, but I have dated 2.5 Korean girls, that has led me to understand their (your) culture a lot. And I have a used bunch of friends that are "KPKPKPKPKP4Lyfe!!!! ZZZOMG!!". I still listen to some Fly to the Sky, Se7en, Jinusean, Drunken Tiger, and the old school YG Family even to this day [:D]
