I have seen a couple threads that mention products called wheel sealants. I feel liek I have seen an infomercial on some type of coating you can put on a wheel to make brake dust magically wash away with a hose. I know that is probably a pipe dream but is there some type of wax or sealeant that can help make brake dust easier to keep off?

a few layers of KAIO or KSG, FMJ will do wonders. it will make the brake dust wipe off clean.

I'm a big fan of Poorboy's wheel sealant. Of the products I've tried (Wheel Wax and Four Star UPP being the others) it's the most durable...and easiest to apply and remove. In fact, Wheel Wax was, by far, the least durable.
I just started using Rejex this year (just put it on last weekend). I've heard good things about it, but can't confirm myself yet.

I'm not a big fan of having extra products that don't preform as well as others. In this case i think it is hard to beat 2x fmj on rims. You can apply it after you have applied it to the body work. I prefer fmj, if the rims need a chemical cleaning then i look to prime strong, or Klasse AIO for the first coat.

I hear what you're saying, and I'm anxious to try FMJ. That said, if it outperforms PB WS, I will be VERY impressed. WS was originally an impulse buy, but I have to tell you, it was definitely one of my better ones. The stuff couldn't be easier to apply or remove, and the durability is outstanding.
