I've searched the archives and either I'm blind or I'm not using the proper search terms.....

Can anyone advise the rated Torque max on the TIP tranny?
350ft lbs at the crank too much?

I know that a few people have BT's with a TIP and they're over 300ft lbs at the wheel, so my guess is that you're right around the limit if you're pushing those numbers.

Can anyone confirm?

I wish.
It's a lease and I can't justify throwing the money at that kind of project on a car that I have to maintain and then turn back in to the dealership.

I say that after I've already modded this leased car more than any reasonable human should. [:p]
anyways, I think I may have stumbled upon the answer:

"ZF lists four 6 speed transmissions on their website, two of which are AWD -- 6HP26A (Audi A4) and 6HP32A. The 26a has an input torque rating of 600Nm (442.8ft-lb).....blah, blah, blah.

If someone puts a K04 on their TIP, then that would bring them to about 400ft lbs at the crank on race gas.
Close enough to the limit to not push your luck any further.....[;)]
