Anyone have links? Info? What's involved?

Would changing heads/Intake be better off?

Tiptronic bolt up from the 2.8 to 3.2?

Anyone have weights of the 2 engines?

wouldnt you want to go with a 1.8t swap if you swapping. what is your resoning. never heard of this that why i ask

Why do a whole swap when you could just build the bottom of your 2.8 and increase the bore?

the 3.2 with a lighter chassis may be a sweet upgrade, and power is there with the press of the gas, as opposed to laggy large turbo 1.8t setup. Plus isnt the 3.2 supercharger going to come out soon.

a 3.2 supercharged b5 sounds like a fun car to own. i say do the research and try it out.

Because I'm not trying to rebuild an engine, I don't need to run boost, I just need more power out of my daily driver, besides adding bore to an 100K+ engine doesn't add 60 more hp

Don't mind about the S/C, I just want a bit more power/reliability out of my A4, if the 3.2 can fit with little modifiying it should be a good step. Finding a wrecked audi with a 3.2 shouldn't be that hard

I take no one has done it before

The only hard part I would see is getting all of the sensors and everything to read correctly on the gauge cluster... Might work though...

sounds like a lot of work and not to cost, affective... with the price of the b6's today i dont see it being worth it

^ or just swap the whole wireing harness/ecu/cluster etc...

I think that it is an awesome idea
I also dont think that it will be that hard if you have the know how or take it somewhere that does...I mean I have seen 84 VW Rabbits with 1.8T's, VR6's, and TDI's and they run perfect

as for all the sensors and wiring, as long as you find a wrecked 3.2 you can get everything that you would need

swapping in the 2.7t from the s4 would most likely be cheaper.

FYI, stasis made 260 hp out of a naturally aspirated 12 valve in their race cars. so if you wanted more power out of the 2.8 without boosting it, i am sure that there are ways to get there. I dont know that I would bore it out though, at least not very much.

If you bore out the motor it wont be a 100K+ engine anymore. Actually adding displacement does add hp which is why the 3.2 makes more power then your 2.8

If you think about it, since a turbo or supercharger is just forcing more air/fuel mixture into the cylinders, they too are adding more displacement. It's like squeezing the contents of larger engine cylinders into smaller ones. Just sorta popped into my head as I was reading this . . .

The block will still have 100K on it, and I'll have to fish around for 3.2L heads/intake, see if their compatible. The bore is no where close to making power than the heads/intake

http://www.2bennett.com/ is right down the street from me, I'll ask if they ever done/will know if it'll work
