OK, so I have a 2001 audi a4 and I'm getting a fault code
17100 - Transmission Input Speed Sensor (G182): Implausible Signal
P0716 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

So I'm going to go ahead and change the sensor out with a new one, and in the process change the tranny fluid (obviously)

so from my understanding the sensor is located in the valve body? Does anyone have any experience changing this sensor, or getting to this sensor in their b5?
From what I've read you can get to the valve body by dropping the tranny pan? Is this true?

I havent seen any write ups that take me to the valve body, but any help before I start going to town would be great.

Hi I am having a go at this repair as well. Could someone send me the correct procedure? I bought a Bentley Audi Service manual, but it says "removal of the sensor for transmission RPM -G182- and the wiring harness in the transmission requires removal of the automatic transmission valve body which is outside the scope of this manual"
