Hi all I just had my engine replaced and I went today to go it smoged and both places I went to informed me that the service bullention they have, that if you changed to an aftermarket radio that some cars lose the function of their OBD II? Does this sound right? I need to get my car smogged! They both told me I should go to a dealer and have them look into it but that will cost me a grip!(I bet) anyone have any ideas or experince with this? I have a Pioneer stereo installed and to be honest wouldn't be surpised if the morons at G Sound in Upland screwed it up... I went 4 times to get my stereo put in right and still my AM doesnt work... On a side note if someone wanted to I'll drive to you and pay you if you know what my problem is. I am in so cal thx for everyone's time and input.

Has to do with the K-Line and aftermarket radios. Check ross-tech.com they talk about it somewhere there.

well I found it here
does anyone know how hard this is to do? I am okay with this kind of stuff but not great.

So I just cut the k-line from the car to the stereo if I am reading this correct?

Or am I reading it wrong?
