Hey all its me once again I'm hoping I get a few of these in every week.

Back at KMD Tuning again for the owner Danny's 2000 S4 widebody with RS4 engine/Dahlback Tuned. Some of you may have seen it in magazines or at the shop or Waterfest.

Went over for a quick spring clean up 1 step polish and sealant.

Products used:

Adam's Car Wash

Menzerna FMJ
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f149/pyiu/FMJ32oz.jpg
P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel

Metabo with White Edge Pad
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f149/pyiu/metabo.jpg
Foam Gun

Edge Pads Dual sides (6 inch)

Edge Pads 2000 (4 inch)
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f149/pyiu/cycloy.jpg

Procedure:
1. Rinsed down the wheels (they were cool)
2. Sprayed down the wheels with some P21S Wheel Cleaner
3. Brush and cleaned the wheels with a Boar's Hair Brush
4. Rinsed down the wheels
5. Rinsed down the car
6. Loaded up the foam gun with Adam's Car Wash and sprayed the car down.
7. A great trick I use is to squeeze some Adam's car wash on the Shmitt giving it more suds as you clean. Going from top to bottom I typically go clean the roof then go to the bucket and rinse the Shmitt hitting the grit guard to make sure its clean for the next section (repeat this till the car is done) do this more frequently as you get to the bottom of the car and the back of the trunk/rear bumper.
8. Rinse car off throughly, I just took the foam gun off and just rinsed the car with the flooding method.
9. Dried car with WW Drying Towel.
10. With the car all dried up I got Danny to drive the beast in to the bay, under the lights the car had some very minor issues, light scratches, black top need some work, and the carbon fiber hood as well.
11. Got out the Metabo with the white pad and Menzerna PO85RD and started with the trunk (speed was 700-1200 rpm) couple passes and that's all I needed to get it perfect!
12. Proceed to finish up the car with the 4inch and 6 inch pads with the Metabo (love this machine) The 4 inch pads give you more control and precision on the tight spots that you work on and on the fender flares and especially the back of the trunk!
13. Buffed off the 85RD
14. Applied the FMJ
15. Cleaned up the windows with Adam's Glass Cleaner
16. Dressed the tires with Adam's VRT
17. Used Adam's Detail Spray to do a final wipe down on the car and the wheels.
(clay was not needed in this spring clean up, and wheels will have to be taken off to do a complete detail closer to show season.)

Jersey huh, how far from Philly? And what would an exterior clean-up like this run me?

FYI Car is pretty clean as is. Cept for some stains on the sideskirts

That's about 1 hour and 45 mins.

I start exterior only details at $200-300 and that's if you come me... [:D]

But I don't really travel out that far to do cars though.

Your welcome to come up here.[:D]

Once the weather gets better here I will also definitely be ordering some products from you! I finally busted out the buffer saturday - but it was for my dads $800 86 Toyota P/U. I didn't even think about it then, but I should have taken pics, that thing was soooooo damn oxidized, shines like the stars now!

This weekend its supposed to start getting nice again, so I may do a prelim cleaning on the Audi, but nothing locally compares to the quality of the stuff you sell.

Hey Phil -- do you have an address to where you do your details, and about how much time it takes to do a full interior and exterior detail assuming the car is in pretty good shape? thanks.

Nice.... I like how you write out the steps taken....

When cleaning you sometimes tend to over look or miss a step.....

Thanks! I'm actually in Dumont, NJ and work out of my home for now....so I really don't have waiters...

Also I guess it can take 4-6 hours.
