several people have added hid bulbs and ballasts to stock housings, but as someone who has done the entire oem retrofit, i can say its well worth the money and i reccommend that route.

you may get increased output and a better color (subjective) from just adding the kit, but you won't get the oem look and superior beam pattern, not to mention you will destroy the stock parts.

being that you will most likely have to replace the oem halogen housings when you sell the car (which you will modify), i would say just spend the money and do the OEM. a few of us have done it and would be willing to fill you in.

thanks for the input, i would love to do the conversion, but it costs too much time(removing front bumper, i want to diy) and money (500 per/housing + hid..another 300= est. around 1300) and my lease is up next year...

i just want to do a plug and play, and wonder if these will fit my car...
(and don't worry, i won't blind anyone, i aim my lights really low and my headlights are tinted)

A good idea but the projectors are not the same ones.

All B7 xenon housings are BI-XENON so you cannot use a single xenon projector unless you are willing to lose your highbeams.

Furthermore:

B6 headlights are made by VALEO
B7 headlights are made by AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTING (known as AL).

Therefore headlight parts are not interchangable between B6 and B7.

As long as it is H7 then it will fit your housings. The kit you mentioned says it comes with H7 adapters, which will allow it to be a direct replacement, but will probably not be centered on the housing. If you want it to be a perfect fit, just buy an aftermarket kit with H7 HID based bulbs. Even then the light patter will be spread out in many directions and will have glare. If you go that route, you wont have to damage your housings since it will be a direct replacement like if you were just changing for a stock halogen bulb.

exactly what fD3S said! [up]

even with the H7 Adapters I'm pretty sure you should be fine but watch out for that GLARE like fD3S said.

not to mention you will also have to tap wires to make this work correctly as your low beam and the difference in power draw may cause your kit to cut out or trigger a warning.

i wouldn't characterize this as "plug and play" for sure

Very true, you will definitely need to install with a relay. The relay is basically a remote switch that allows the ballasts to draw the power directly from the battery terminals instead of the headlight harness.

actually....i have a set of HID's on my car right now....but the reason why i wanted to buy new ones because the ones i have right now will flick(like a strobe light)...the only way to make it not flick is to turn the key to the first click for 5 seconds, then start the engine and the hid's won't flick...
you think that's becaz i don't have a relay?

i actually tested with my couple friends, he has a lowered S2000 with no tinted windows, i adjust the headlight to where it aims at his trunk(driving distance)...
and i also pulled out the bulb a little bit which will cause the beam pattern to be more focused(still can't compare to projectors)

so far i never had anyone complain bout my headlights.

SO CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THESE HID'S WILL FIT MY CAR???
i am so ready to buy it...but don't want to buy something that won't fit...

They will fit with a few small mods, but not sure if you want them, the wiring from the ballast to the bulbs is very short, which is gonna be a big pain to install, your much better with aftermarket HID kits as they are much more simple to install plus if you get a good one it will come with relays so you can do a plug and play install. Try xenondepot.com, they are expensive but they have a TRUE PHILIPS kit 6000K if your worried about the light output and warranty options. There is a code on the Lexus forums for a discount just do a quick search on google I think its 25% off. I've went to hell and back with HIDs. I've sold them on eBay, did projector retro fits and so on, if your car does not come with HIDs get the aftermarket kit, much less pain!
