rns-e or pioneer avic-z1

currently i have an rns-e on my car,which i love with the mp3 card and all, no dietz or bluetooth or xm, but my question is since after a little bit of research, i found out that the pioneer unit fits perfectly,well i like a lot of the features of it.

i think the question is:

if you have the chance to get either one which one would you get? and why?

I have the Z1, but I've played with the rns-e a couple of times and I really like the Avic Z1 overall. Has great features and the best thing I like about it is nav traffic.

i like the features of the aftermarket navs.

i'm getting my kenwood installed tmr.

i personally hate the rns-e. few thigns about it really pissed me off when i was playign with ti.

i hate writing an address on the RNS-E.. why cant they make it touch screen???

it really depends on what your need is...I had the RNS-E and recently changed to an Alpine HU....i love the functionality but at the same time miss my steering control..and the cleaner look...besides the NAV theres really nothing I don't like about the RNS-E..so if I had to do it all again..I rather get the package offered by German Driver + Ipod Cable and be done with it =)

Check out the D3 also... its cheaper and new and has everything

yea the think is that the z1 has the gauges built into it, the backlights can be change to red, so it would match the car red color,plus is touch screen, and has the hard drive plus all the other stuff to play with.on the other side rns-e its well the factory unit, and looks yes clean. but then you gotta get dietz,ipod thingy,blue tooth thingy ......i mean.aaaaaaaaaaah so difficult

o yea and i saw in some post here cant remember but ill look for it someone can make a wire harness to keep steering wheel controls even in the after market unit so...........once again aaaaaaaaaaah so difficult

I think only the D3 changes the color to match your interior.
It also has the guages and it's ipod ready (all you'll need is a $30 cable).
Best bang for your buck imo.
