OKay... so i bot this car with 5 brand new tires jan 2... pirelli p6.. a month and half ago... my front left tire popd... irreparable becuz it had a cut on the side on the tire.
THEN! today as i was backing out of driveway i noticed my tire was flat... i look and now its my front right tire... i found 2 cuts on the outside.
wtf is going on? within a 2 month period my front two tires pop? its reasonable becuz its front wheel drive but... 2 months? and i checkd the tread on the one that flattened today and its freakn bald...
and the thing is... wen i had my first flat tire... dumb as i am, i didnt buy a spare. so today i was stuck with 2 flat tires and 3 intact tires. it was 8 30 and no tire places were open besides pep boys where they only had Kumho extas for my wheel size... so i have 3 pirellis p6 and a kumho on my car now...
how gay is that... plus i only had 2 bills left and a 120 went straight to this gay tire. LIFE SUX.
can someone advise me on why my tires went out soo fast? and ummm
ima have to buy new tires soon. using 3 same tires and 1 different brand name tire... does that effect the drive of my car? im going to need new tires soon so what tires should i get? i want tires with real good performance . any ideas? and i can just buy 2 real good performance tires right? and leave two pirellis in the back since i have FWD?

Being in the industry I'll give you my .02
Did you ever get an alignment? You could have hit a pothole/curb/anything and knock out the alignment and cause extreme premature tire wear. The Pirelli P6 is a very soft tire. THe side walls are very soft so they don't offer the best grip. Are you on stock wheels? Its not good to have 3 of one kind and a single other tire. You can be OK with two of the same tires on each axle, but if you don't HAVE to, then don't.
If you can afford it, get the Michelin PS2. Probably the best performing tire on the market. Its awesome trust me. However it is a pretty shiny penny for it. Having 2 high perf tires and 2 touring tires will cause some weird handling, but technically is possible. Where did you go to get your tires? PM me and I can hook you up with some stuff.

You need an alignment like Respect The Cuz said. And having 3 Pirelli p6 and 1 kumho isn't a good idea. However having 2 PS2 in the front and 2 pirelli's on the back is okay.
For good tires - Falkens, Michellin Pilot sports, Pzeros...

and i dont think i need an alignment because my car runs fine... i can go straight line without having to turn the wheel one way more than the other.

Most performance tires wear out fairly fast all depending on your driving style. So if you want something that lasts go for something more durable. Also a wheel alignment always helps.

I'm going to ask what might be the most obvious but hasn't been stated yet. Is there anyone out there that is your enemy? Did you check your driveway to make sure there weren't any razor blades and / or sharp objects purposefully in the way of your tires? Sounds like the sidewalls of the tires may have been slashed with a knife. I've had the Pirelli P6's for about 35,000 kilometers without any problems. Switched to winter tires in November.

1 piece of advice. Dont go to PepBoys lol. As for alignment take it to a Discount Tire Centers near you, and go there as well for the hookup[;)] Where are you located? I would suggest our location in Hollywood. We have two there, one on Sunset Blvd at Vine and one right off of Fountain Blvd. Let me know!

Ever think that if your car is just sitting in the driveway and you come out later on...
and the tires flat... From the sidewall?[confused]
Does it make sense yet?

Driving straight and having no problems is definitely not the best way to tell if your tires are not in need of alignment. Camber and caster make a huge difference.
My stockers on my A4 suck. I'll probably going with P-Zero Rosso's or perhaps Michelin PS2's or Pilot Sport Cup tires. hehe

Let's be a little less juvenile and not use the term "gay" as to connotate something negative.
We're adults here and many could find that offensive, including myself.

agreed. i had problems with my stockers as well, and i specifically asked for straight tires. its not a sexual orientation issue

1. Alot of people here probably 100% of the people are older than you since your 17 or 18?
2. They including me do get paid better than 7.50 an hour even if it's under the table.
3. And people get sponsored.
You should think about getting an alignment.

I guess high school ain't like it used to be.

Pirelli's = most horrible things I've ever driven on, even their "summer super high performance" tires.
Also check your tire pressure- make sure it's not low, and don't carry too many things/too many people and try to go fast (There's a warning label about that as well as a warning in the owner's manual about it)

I did not know tires had a sexual preference, but I always thought of pirellis more like smooth Euro lady killers.

discount tire is the s**t. they pro-rate replacement tires that you popped, screwed up, etc. and they will match/beat anybody's prices (from my experience). Definitely one of the places people should be going to for tires especially.

Which discount tire are you referring to? Red and White or Purple and White one?
cuz we all know Purple and white one is the best

how does a alignment work.. i know you put it on a rack but.. do you have to take the wheels off or what do you adjust?

there are laser beams basically that reflect back to the computer off of "heads" that are put on your tires and wheels. This tells the computer where and how your tires/wheels/suspension is sitting and it compares it to the OEM specifications that are already put into the computer. Then you adjust accordingly.
