Anyone know if shocks and springs are interchangeable between a 2002 Passat and 2000 Audi A4. I assume they are, since both cars have the 4 link suspension and they are pretty much the exact same cars.

Just one thing is bothering me and that is that the Passat is not 4motion. So I am thinking they might have some differences in the way the shocks mount and whatnot. Anyone know for sure???

Damn, is that cause the Passat is FWD?

Yes. You can swap in S4 or A4 struts with A4 sport springs. If you have a 1.8 then you have to use 1.8 sport springs. The V6 is heavier and the biturbo V6 in the S4 is even heavier than that. They will cause the front of the car to sit much higher than the rear.

The thing is I have Bilstein struts and Neuspeed springs. So if the struts dont fit in the back I can atleast swap the springs right...

The rear suspension is completely different. These are the coilovers off of my Quattro Avant. The rears slide up into a housing that incorporates a spring perch. The housing bolts to the inner fender area.
