Ive been posting on here for quite a while, but never introduced myself. My name is Craig, im 17 and here is my car, lol. Only done aesthetic mods, but soon planning on intake and muffler. Got my b7 RS4 reps on a few weeks ago, but finally got some pics at our Tahoe cabin. Riding on stock suspension, not getting suspension for a while, and i know what you are all gonna say, so you can save yourself, but if you insist on telling me to get suspension, than go right ahead [;)] . lol the 4x4 look grew on me, hahahahha.

It looked ok with the stock wheels at this height, but when you added the reps, it just begs to be lowered. But since you don't want to hear that, I won't say it ......... paint your lowers ........ [:D]

yeah it needs to be lowered badly, but parents wont let me get suspension. also, i dont want to deal with the stiffness (lol yeah im a weakling), any way to lower it without getting a whole new suspension, lowering springs? i dunno, im new at this stuff.

Can You tel me about your reps? What size, offset and where you got them. Much appreciated. Looks great.

if you had sport suspension you could get away with just a set of springs. but since you're not you'll need shocks to go with them..

H&R/Bilstein
Neuspeed/Bilstein

either one of those combo's will give you a good ride height with not too harsh of a ride. and they're on the cheaper end

quadaxel
02-11-2007, 11:16 PM
audi rick and type911:

My wheels are the V708 B7 RS4 replicas from VMR Wheels (formerly Velocity Motoring). highly recomended, excellent service. not quite sure about the offset, but they are 18" by 8.5"

sean1.8t:

any way to tell if i have sport suspension. ive checked my springs, i dont think they are red, but i do have the sport steering wheel. so i dunno. i can check again.

Looks good, I'm seriously thinking about getting some B7 RS4 reps but I think I like BBS CH's a little bit better. I've gotta get suspension first though, stock sport suspension just isn't cutting it. Until then I'm rockin' my stock 16" swings... hell yeah.
Keep up the good work and why won't your parents let you upgrade your suspension? That's kinda bogus...

Audi rick - I'm sorry but is it really necessary to include all of the text AND pics posted above in your reply when we've all already seen them? hahaha just something to think about...

^^ hahah my bad, must have mis-read a previous post. ill check deff check tomorrow.

CaSp3r9: bbs ch's are deff hot man, especially on santorin. b7 rs4 would be hot also, have someone photoshop (or if you have the photochop skills) the rims on your car, and see what YOU like. i get irritated when people in general tell them what looks good and what doesnt. its your car, do what you like. good luck with that man [up]

Yeah, that cant be sport suspension..

You can put some coils/shocks together for a good price.

RS4 Replicas for the win! Nice 98.5, Don't ever change out your tails!

98.5 tails > 99.5.

You need to lower your car, that gap is scary.

Rs4's on my car w/ no gap.

I keep reading about red shocks as an indication of the sport suspension but I know I have the sport suspension and my shocks definitely aren't red so they must have been replaced with something else before I bought the car.

02-12-2007, 01:48 PM
^^^^haha nice

yes red shocks is the indication that you have sport suspension. if it is black you have non-sports and ride height is a mager indication between the 2. have you been parked next to or seen what the sport suspension looks like. sports are much lower than the other...

The gap isnt so bad, keeps the ride smooth and easy. I had my car dumped for a while, and i just got tired of it. Perhaps i needed an alignment (still do), but also because of the slowing down on every speed bump and driveway stuff. I raised my car back to the maximum highest level of my c/o's and ironically, its still lower than the stock non sport setting. [:p]

But now i can run over speedbumps with confidence. [up]

Nice rims... car looks hot. GAPs have to go though. I know how you feel... I just didn't know how many HIGH ROLLERS out there. Maybe we should form a team called HIGH ROLLERS!! Seems like everyone is rolling with HUGH GAPS. I was rolling my A4 with 19s on stock suspension for 4 months. I finally got it lowered last month and got my front fenders rolled/flared last night. Anyhow, get your car lowered anyways. My parents didn't want me to lower it but I didn't it anyways...

Got my springs friday (H&R Race), will get my shocks this week, and as for wheels.... well, I dunno. The ones I wanted wont be in stock for 3-4 months, so I'm gonna hold out, unless I find another set (and I may have already) that I really like. If no wheels, I'm gonna put more electronics in it, upgrade to new tails (and maybe a facelift), and paint the lowers for sure, and M3 spoiler. Ill have 1200 or so to blow, and its all going into the car, hopefully the tax return comes this week.

I'm getting the Bilstein grooved shocks BTW.. from what Ive read it is the best as far as non C.O. setup. I can't wait to take turns and ditch the body roll.
