Hello,
Does the six disc CD changer play MP3's in the cars equipped with Nav?
Thanks!

I wish Audi made the non-navi played MP3s anyway...
It's retarded that they don't because it'll read some of the songs playing on the radio... Why can't they just make it play MP3s as well..[down]

The 2007's do. My old 2007 with non-nav played MP3 discs in the in dash 6 disc changer.

I can't get a MP3 CD to play in the 6 disk cd changer and it doesn't say anywhere in the manual that it will. I am also not sure if they will play in the DVD slot because I have never tried. The SD cards are great and cheap but they can only read about 200 files. If you get a big card then you should probably combine songs so you can actually fill the whole card with the 200 file limit.
The disc changer does not play mp3 cd's, havent tried it on the NAV DVD drive. I only use the SD slots for Mp3's since i dont want to remove the Navigation disc.

It's ~400 file limit per SD card.

Really? I heard it was 256 - basically the FAT file system limitation with a few quirks. I haven't gone beyond that - I've got 230-some on one card and 210-some on the other.

If it were a FAT limititation it would be 512.

Well I went through and counted all of them that appear on the playlist and I have over 400 files on the SD card but only 200 were there. Also the manual states that there is a 200 file capacity. But then again it also said that my 2GB card wouldn't work. If it can read more than 200, tell me how to do it.

Bumping this up. I can't get my 6-cd changer in the glove box to play mp3 CDs. Is it supposed to? It shows up as "Undreadable" on my RNS-E.
Car is a 2007 A4.

The factory cd changer is not capable of playing mp3 cd's, only audio. The nav unit will play an mp3 cd but not an mp3 dvd.
