glass polish?

I have a lot of small knicks in my windshield. Is there anyway to polish these out. They're not chips or cracks. really small and all over windshield.

I live in an area with construction trucks on the highway. There's no way for me to avoid getting "sandblasted", so I thought I can improve the life of my windshield with polish or something similar.

No, you'd distort the windshield. Save up for a new one some day.
