OK guys this is my problem,

Every morning when I would start my car I would get a wierd grinding noise. It would also happen randomly when the car was parked for more than 4 hours like when I would leave work. I was close to my 5K service so decided to wait and get everything taken care of at one time to include a squeaky sunroof.

So I take in the car on Tuesday tell my service advisor the problems and go on my way. I get a call on Wed that the wierd grinding noise could possibly be the starter and that the main mechanic heard it and was trying to pinpoint the problem. On thursday I get another call that they cant find exactly whats wrong with the car but that they hear the noise and tell me that they are sorry they cant fix it to bring the car in again when the noise gets worst. I was outraged and headed to the stealership personally. I argued with the service advisor and manager as to how its not right for them to know there is a problem and not fix it and have the balls to tell me to bring it in when it gets worst. They agreed to keep the car 1 more day to re check it.

Today noone calls me so I go myself to see what the status was, they again tell me the same story and sorry couldnt find the exact defected part. I was so pissed and I just wanted my car. I asked for the paperwork on the work done. The paper work stated that my car had 0 problems and everything was to factory spec. I refused to take my car and told the advisor that I wanted what he told me on paper. That they heard the noise and could not fix it and that he told me to bring it in again when the noise got worst. I threatned him that I would drop off all my keys and he could keep the car. I refused to accept a car with a problem they knew off and put on the paperwork everthing was fine. He told me he would change the paperwork on Monday.

So almost 1 week without my car. They dont want to fix it because they dont know whats wrong exactly. What are my options here? I plan on calling Audi tomorrow and filing a complaint against the dealer. I want to go to another dealer for service. Im so pissed. Sorry about the LONG post I need to vent. Oh and the dealer is the Collection in Miami, FL. A supposedly high end car dealer. they sell Porsche, Masaratti, Ferraris, Jags, u get the idea. What can I do, I want to get a lawyer.

First, I'd recommend bypassing the advisor, dealing directly with the service manager. Be polite, but explain what you want, and your plans for escalation should that not happen.

Have they given you a loaner vehicle? Have they tried replacing the starter to see if that is the problem? Good luck on this.

Try to talk with Jesse directly, he is the Service manager at the collection.
Is your Service adviser Hector Lopez?
He is my adviser, and I sure do complain to him and he always comes through.

If anything take your car to Adam at Wolfcars, when the collection cant Wolfcars can, they are simply awesome. (If you give them a call (3055938162) tell them Victor Carruyo told you)[;)]

If anything drop me a PM to see if we can solve this, don't get discouraged.[wrench]

thanks and yea Hector is my adviser, hes been kool, Im just mad at the situation not the guy. I suggested they replace the starter and check but they said they couldnt do that. That they had to be 100% on the defected part and they werent. As for wolfcars, I dont want to pay for something that should be fixed under warranty. The car is a lease thank god because no more Audi for me. Going toyota/lexus or honda/acura next. This is not my first problem/issue with the car,

Squeaky sunroof
Small rattles here and there
Cigarette lighter burned out
1st week one of my lights blew (hid) wouldnt work

I hate going to dealers its a waste of time

Im going back Monday, talk to the owner of the place if I have too.

let me ask u, i have MT6 and it feels like i get slight crunches going into 3rd gear and sometimes it doesnt shift smooth into 2nd like something is blocking it. Is this normal or did i get a bad car? I keep hearing a snub mount takes care of this.

My car is not manual (I wish it was), but this problem seems to be fairly common, some say that the snub mount helps the shifting, for me its the launch.

However I noticed last weekend when driving a friends 07 328ci that i wont let you shift if the clutch is not buried in the firewall and I felt all most the same thing you have just described, I don't know if on Audis is the same with the clutch and that might be causing it, or that the car is fairly new.

saw u had a snub mount figured u had manual. U check out germanmotoring by the collection, they sometimes hook up cars for the collection to sell them, they had a white one with APR stuff and some chrome 19" lowered. Wow beautiful, I asked about trading in but its the most basic model. Not Bluetooth, HID's, etc etc plus I wouldve been to upside down.

I saw it.
I rather put the stuff in myself, plus neither Hector or Jess really care about my mods too much, as long it is from a reputable brand.

They also approached WolfCars when they starter their "Motor sports" program, and I think they also did some stuff for them too.

You should see Adams wifes A4 , it has all my mods +Coils+Worx Weels+Nitrous, that car is sick and soon Adam might get one for him to play.
