Quick question...
the Left scroll button on the steering wheel, how can you program it to scroll thru your presets. Off the lot it was set to just scan, but I want to scroll the presets instead of hitting the buttons on the stereo unit..
help

Maybe its different with the Nav system (we don't get nav here in Hawaii b/c there are no maps), but my left wheel scrolls through presets and CD tracks. Could this be an 06 vs. 07 change?

I've ben wanting that from day one! I don't have NAV so when I scroll it simply advances the radio tuning up and down. I don't think there's a Vag-com code for this. But if someone knows that would awesome.

So - What's the explanation as to why this works on my radio?
When I scroll on the left wheel, it moves only between presets - it has done this since new and I did not make any changes.

you need to be in the presets menu if u have navi go to memory and you'll see ur presets then when in there u can scroll threw them with the wheel controls

I just got my car a few days ago and I'm trying to figure that out too. I've been reading the manual (pg 156) to figure it out but it doesn't mention anything about the presets. I pressed the "mode" button, but it shows that its not in function (in the center console display).

Same here, been trying to figure this out too...I can only tune up and down...no presets (so basically I never get to use the left scroll when in radio mode). If someone figures this out that would be great.

Theres gotta be an explanation in here somewhere right? I mean, technically we are all giving different answers.
Personally, my left scroll wheel (no nav) does not scroll through the tuner nor does it scroll through the presets, for me it scans to the next station with a signal (scan mode) I kinda like it wen travelling just to see what stations are out there. So what the deal? Any thoughts?

yeah, when you push it down it'll scan truh high signal stations, if you already have presets when you scroll it it will go thru those ones that've preset(ED)
and NO it won't scroll thru the tuner....[headbang]

Actually, if you check the settings on the stereo itself there is an option to change the scan-style. Meaning, it will scan through the different stations just by number or it will show you the actual station letters (ex. KROQ). However, by changing that it didn't change the scroll button to scan through my already set presets.
(I don't remember the exact steps to get into this menu. I'll check it out on my car and I'll repost.)
